This visualization compares a selected earlier Instagram app icon with the current Instagram icon.

It does not represent every version in Instagram’s icon history. Both designs were reconstructed as a 45×45 scatter-point grid, with each square acting as an individual data point.

The transition is created by remapping those same points from the classic layout to the current layout.
